BIllabong Pro Santa Catarina - dia 3 - The Beaultiful Girls ao vivo na Praia da Vila

No ultimo domingo, 3º dia do periodo de espera do Billabong Pro Santa Catarina, foram disputadas as baterias do 2º round. No final de tarde, o grupo The Beaultiful Girls apresentou-se na Cidade do Surf na Praia da Vila.

Este é o segundo ano em que a banda australiana apresenta-se em Imbituba durante a etapa brasileira do ASP World Tour. Pelo segundo ano consecutivo que o show do Beaultiful Girls ocorre abaixo de chuva.

No vídeo abaixo segue um trecho ao vivo onde o vocalista Matt McHug toca uma versão acustica de "Freedom", nada melhor para expressar a liberdade do altas ondas durante um freesurf na Praia da Vila.

Last Sunday, the 3rd day of Billabong Pro Santa Catarina, went down the Round 2 heats. In the evening, The Girls Beaultiful presented at the Surf City.

This is the second year that the Australian band comes to Imbituba during the Brazilian stop of ASP World Tour. For the second consecutive year that their show is rainy conditions.

In the video below following a stretch where they live vocalist Matt MCHUG play an acoustic version of "Freedom", nothing better to express the freedom than freesurfing in perfect waves at Praia da Vila.

 

Billabong Pro Santa Catarina - dia 2 - Onda do dia

Ontem (24/abr) iniciaram as dispusta do Billabong Pro Santa Catarina 2010, se para os surfistas as condições estavam boas, para o público que acompanhou as disputas das bateriais do primeiro round não pode se dizer o mesmo. O segundo dia da etapa brasileira do ASP World Tour foi marcado por frio e chuva.

Mas nem assim o público desistiu de acompanhar as performances dos melhores surfistas do mundo na Praia da Vila. Assistir ao vivo momentos como a onda no vídeo abaixo surfada por Joel Parkinson na 7ª bateria do 1º round fizeram valer a pena cada momento sob chuva e frio. Confiram!

Yesterday (April, 24th) started the Round 1 heats of Billabong Pro Santa Catarina. The waves at Praia da Vila, Santa Catarina/Brazil, were not as big as expected but nice lefts and rights were breaking. If for the surfers the conditions outside were fun, the crowd that came up to wacht the best surfers performances at Praia da Vila coundn't say the same.

The second day of Billabong Pro Santa Catarina was rainy and cold. Besides that the crowd didn't leave the beach and keep their eyes sticked on what was happening on the outside. Wacht it live moments as the wave ridden by Joel Parkinson at heat nº 7 of Round 1 turned worth every moment under rain and cold. Check it out!

Billabong Santa Catarina Pro - dia 1 - Freesurf na Praia da Vila

O primeiro dia de espera do Billabong Santa Catarina Pro 2010, válido como a 3ª etapa do ASP World Tour, foi marcado por chuva e condições do mar não favoravéis.

O atual lider do ranking, Taj Burrow, foi pra água sentir as condições do principal palco de disputas da etapa brasileira do World Tour, que terá sua próxima chamada amanhã pela manhã.

Ao término do campeonato o vídeo completo da Etapa Brasileita do ASP World Tour 2010 estará disponível para download auqi no A.I.P.E.tv.

Billabong Santa Catarina Pro 2010 first heats had been postponed for tomorroy. Today at Praia da Vila it was rainy and the waves are small, mush. The current leader of the ASP World Tour, Taj Burrow, paddle out to feel the conditions of the main stage of the brasilian stop of the tour. The next call will be tomorroy at 7 a.m..

Tow in Ecológico - Magrinho kitewave no Cardoso

A praia do Cardoso é conhecida por sustentar grandes ondulações. Seu fundo de areia compacto, permite que grandes ondulações ao atingirem a costa catarinense quebrem com perfeição lá. Sessões memoráveis de tow in ja ocorreram no Cardosão. 

Aproveitando uma destas grandes ondulações com o vento nordeste bombando. Magrinho utilizou seu kite Mormaii para praticar um tow in ecológico nas morras da Praia do Cardoso. Em frente às pedras quebravam ondas havaianas. Com a atitude de sempre, Magrinho não exitou. Analisou as condições, o ambiente e rumou pro outside.

Farol the Santa Marta is one of the most consistent surf spots on Brazilian south coast. There are many surf spots and unless it is flat there's always some good waves. One of this spot is Cardoso's beach. Its compact sandbar makes that when big swells hit the coast it breaks perfectly. Some epic tow in sessions had already happened on its big waves.

In one of this days, empty big waves where breaking overthere and a powerfull offshore NE wind were blowing. Magrinho prepared his kite mormaii to make an ecologic tow in session on the day that Cardoso's waves where like hawaiian's. Besides the heavy conditions, the waves where breaking right in front the rocks. Magrinho cheked the conditions for kitewave, the spot and went outside. Go for it!

Magrinho campeão do Festival de SUP em Balneário Camburiú

Eram 4 horas da manhã do domingo de páscoas quando Alexandre Magrinho passou aqui em casa para irmos à Balneário Camburiú, onde aconteceu 1º FESTIVAL ATALAIACLICKSURF de LONGBOARD E STANDUP, válido como a 1º Etapa do Circuito Catarinense de Longboard.

Chegando lá grandes nomes do longboard nacional estavam presentes, diversos deles participando também da categoria stand up waves à qual Alexandre Magrinho iria disputar. As pequenas ondas faziam com que cada bateria fosse uma loteria, o que não impediu que Magrinho fosse avançando as baterias até a final disputada com nomes consegrados do longboard nacional como Geraldo Lima (RJ) e Adriano Lima (SP).

Uma boa onda surfada logo no inicio da final Magrinho obteve vantagem que se manteve até o término da bateria. Missão cumprida, Magrinho campeão e as imagens podem ser conferidas no vídeo abaixo.

Easter sunday, 4 a.m., Alexandre Magrinho pick up at home and we get on the road to Balneário Camburiú, surf spot located on north Santa Catarina coast. There will start later that day 1º FESTIVAL ATALAIACLICKSURF de LONGBOARD E STANDUP.
As soon as we get there some of  the greatest longboarders where present. Some of then running up on Stand Up Waves also. The crapp conditions turned every heat on a lottery, but Magrinho besides that advanced every heat to the final.
A high score wave ridden on the very begging of the final Magrinho put one hand on the title. Heat is over, Magrinho champion. Check on the vídeo below, how as this Easter Sanday.
